Bull Products has been selected to protect the construction of the new high-rise residential development in London.
The South Quay Plaza development has been designed by world-leading architects, Foster + Partners, and will feature 2.6 acres of landscaped gardens, a residents’ club lounge, as well as a terrace on the 56th floor. The site consists of three towers, the tallest reaching a height of over 210m, making it the second tallest residential building in London.
Bull Products has specified its SiteProtect Wireless Alarm System which has been adapted specifically to the needs of this site to include special timer delay software. This ensures that when a call point is pressed, it won’t sound immediately, but it will still notify the fire marshals and site managers of an alert, so they can verify the alarm before evacuating the entire site.
This important feature has saved contractors huge amounts of time and money due to the industry having a high rate of false alarms and malicious attacks. Sub-contractor, Trident Electrical, is maintaining the SiteProtect system onsite during construction.
